Saturday Morning with The Steeles | Franklin, IN Family Film Session

This month, I had the privilege of capturing The Steeles’ very first family film session! They received their goody bag and the final film this week, and I’m thrilled to say – they loved it just as much as I did! Here’s what Allison had to say about the experience:

“As a photographer, I have a million photos of my children! They constantly have a camera in their face and while I love everything a photograph brings, it doesn’t stand up to video. This was our first time doing any type of videography and it’s a different type of emotion that comes with seeing the final product. I was replaying it over and over and I KNOW this is a video I’ll continue to play. You can’t replace something that includes my children’s laughs or their behaviors at this stage of their life. I’m blown away by the emotions I feel when I watch it.”

Yes! I couldn't agree more, Allison. I’m completely obsessed with family films, and seeing the Steeles' emotions come to life was such a joy!

A warm and cozy family moment as the Steeles cook breakfast together. The mother holds the baby, while the father prepares pancakes and their daughter assists in the kitchen.

I’ve known Allison for years, ever since high school, and she’s always had an eye for style and design. Her home is a dream. She and Gavin have created a beautiful space that’s warm, welcoming, and full of charm. They even treated me to a delicious breakfast with eggs straight from their chickens! This tradition began when they got their own chickens and started getting a surplus of eggs every week. Gavin said it’s an “every Saturday morning” routine, and you can really feel the love and family bond during that time. Maeve cracked an egg like a pro!

Later, the kids spent the morning fishing, splitting wood, and swinging on their swing set. It was the perfect Saturday morning, full of life and love.

A timeless black-and-white photo capturing the Steeles as they share a quiet, loving moment in their kitchen, preparing pancakes as a family.

The best part of these sessions? They require no planning.

Outfits? Feel free to wear whatever’s comfortable.
Clean house? Just give me 2 rooms, that’s it!
Planned activities? Nah, just be yourself and show me the real moments.

Enjoy this gorgeous family’s Sweet Story Session. I still have space for three more sessions this summer, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you want one too!
