Wedding Bells | South Bend Photographer

This wedding was a refreshing change of pace from my usual family photography routine, and let me tell you, I had an absolute blast! The couple, both hailing from around here and having attended the same schools just a few years apart, made this day feel extra special. Fun fact: I was in the same class as the best man and the bride! I definitely would not have passed Physics without her in that classβ€”she was a lifesaver!

They reconnected years later in Washington D.C., and love blossomed (how sweet!). Now, they are embarking on an exciting new chapter, moving across the country as husband and wife. Such an amazing and adventurous start to their life together!

You could feel how close each family was, despite addresses all over the country. Most don’t live here anymore. I was so impressed with how far most of their guests traveled to be with them for their special day. It really said a lot to me about what kind of people they are. They wanted as many friends as possible to share in their special day, even including the vendors - photography and from what I understand, flowers, were done by friends and family. Their whole bridal party was family, too. Isn’t that fun?

This scripture was used in their ceremony several times, and even in their speeches. I love it. We have been shown what is good, and it what is required of us. It sounds a lot like loving our neighbors as ourselves and I think it might just be my new kitchen quote. What good timing for the start of the school year.

He hath shown thee, O man, what is good: and what doth the Lord require of thee but to do justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? -Micah 6:8

This was my first time at St. Joe Farms, even though I have seen a gazillion pictures from other wedding galleries. It was just as beautiful as you I expected it to be. That barn was FULL of people that love the Lattanners. I loved meeting the owner. Brides, she seems like an amazing person to work with if you are looking for a venue! This crowd danced, played Cornhole (one set of ND boards, one set of Ohio State boards), and ate through a spread of home-made cookies and ice cream. It was a blast. Here comes a lot of pictures, so buckle up! Enjoy.
