Home is where the heart is — and for this sweet family, home is also where a brand-new chapter begins.
After years of moving across the country — meeting, falling in love, getting married, and starting new adventures in different places — they’ve finally settled into their forever home here in South Bend. With a brand-new build and new memories waiting to unfold, capturing this season together at home was top priority. And as luck would have it, I had exactly one date left that worked for them!
The Beauty of Real Life at Home
If you know me, you know I live for the unstaged. Those authentic, messy, joy-filled moments make my heart sing — and sessions like this remind me why I love what I do.
Looking back on 2021, I’m just so grateful. Families who truly value the beauty of real life — those candid, storytelling photos that go far beyond “smile at the camera” — are finding me. And I couldn’t be happier about it.
This in-home session was everything I adore. A family of four (yes, their little pup makes four!) in their happy place — together.
The Season of Fingerprints and Giggles
Their daughter, little V, is at that delightful 16-month-old stage where the world is pure wonder. She’s obsessed with her books, adores her wagon, and keeps Mom and Dad constantly on their toes.
Up and down the stairs.
Tiny fingerprints on every window.
Cabinets opening and closing a hundred times a day.
Sticky hands. Endless laughter.
It’s such a busy, sweet, fleeting season — the kind you’ll want to bottle up forever.
And while this was meant to be a photo-only session, I couldn’t resist sneaking in a Mini Film at the end. The simple book-reading scene we captured feels like such a tender little time capsule — one they’ll treasure more and more as she grows.
