Cullen | A Grow With Me Video Series, Part 2
Grow With Me Film Sessions
Imagine being able to watch your baby grow—birth, six months, one year—without the memories blurring together. That’s the heart behind my Grow With Me Series. I come to you at each milestone to capture both photos and a short film. At the end of the year, I weave all three chapters into one keepsake movie. You’ll hardly believe that tiny newborn is the same busy, giggly one-year-old in your arms. Cue the tears. (It’s the heirloom I wish I had of my own boys.)
These sessions are also a gift to the person who’s always behind the camera. In my family it was my grandpa, then my dad—and now, let’s be honest, it’s usually me. This series makes sure you’re in the frame too: playing, comforting, and loving your people.
Part 2: Six Months of Cullen
What a difference half a year makes! Cullen is on the move—crawling, pulling up, climbing stairs, even trying to walk. Mom knew exactly how to get the giggles (a quick diaper change did the trick), and we leaned into all the everyday magic: reading books, rolling around on the rug, and even a little snowy playtime outside. My favorite image from the day? Both parents laughing with their boys, totally in the moment and forgetting I’m there. That’s the good stuff.
Why It Matters
Photos are wonderful; a family film pulls you right back into the sounds, the movement, the soft little squeals that change so fast. These chapters become a time capsule you’ll revisit for years.
I can’t wait to see Cullen again this summer for his one-year session and stitch all three chapters into his story film.
It was such a joy returning for the next chapter of this family’s Grow With Me video series and seeing just how much little Cullen has changed in six short months. Now around seven months old, he’s already acting like a big kid—climbing, pulling up, trying to walk, and even enjoying his first snowy playtime.
Our lifestyle family film session was full of real, everyday moments: waking up slowly, exploring the playroom, reading books together, giggling nonstop, and soaking in a light snowfall outside. These are the milestones that disappear so quickly, and it’s exactly why documentary baby films matter so much.
I can’t wait to capture his final chapter this summer for his one-year session and create the full first-year milestone film. Stick around—his story just gets sweeter from here.

If you’d love birth, six-month, and one-year chapters (each with a gallery + mini film) and a final combined first-year film, I’d be honored to document it.
