Notre Dame Group Graduation Pictures - Celebrating 2020-2021
I don’t blame these graduates one bit for wanting to celebrate getting through the chaos of 2020-2021! What a crazy year it was for everyone, but these friends made it through together—and they definitely earned their moment to shine on the beautiful Notre Dame campus.
Last week, Notre Dame was absolutely flooded with groups of friends, all dressed in their graduation garb, ready to capture memories of their last moments together. And, let’s just say, there was a lot of champagne involved in the celebrations. Seriously, you couldn’t walk a few feet without seeing someone celebrating with a bottle in hand.

Of course, these grads couldn’t miss getting their photos taken in front of the iconic Dome, their dorms, and the beautiful Notre Dame campus landmarks. It was the perfect setting to reflect on the years they spent here, making lifelong memories with friends. These familiar spots hold so much meaning as they mark the end of one chapter and the exciting beginning of the next.

One of my favorite things about graduation photos is the energy that comes with big groups of friends. There’s so much excitement and joy that fills the air—it’s contagious! And let’s be honest, I love seeing the creativity of these students as they choose spots around campus that have special significance to them. From the beautiful steps near their dorms to the gorgeous, iconic Dome, it was clear how much this place meant to them.
But let’s not forget the champagne! There was so much of it, I swear the sidewalks were sticky in places. While it might have made things a little slippery (let’s just say, we had to be careful where we stepped), it was a perfect symbol of the celebration. These graduates deserved every bit of it after all they went through.

It’s easy to get caught up in the idea that graduation photos need to be perfectly posed, but honestly, some of the best moments are the unplanned ones. The candid laughter, the hugs, the high-fives—these are the memories I love to capture. And, after the year these students had, I think it’s safe to say they earned every bit of fun and spontaneity that came with their celebration.
