Welcome Home, Quinn | Goshen In-Home Newborn Photo Session
Thereโs something so special about being welcomed back into the homes of families Iโve photographed before. I just keep getting to work with the best clients, and it truly makes my heart so full.
For Quinnโs in-home newborn session, we started in her gorgeous nursery โ and wow. My jaw dropped the moment I walked in. (Note to self: I might just need decorating help from her parents because this space was perfection.)
Of course, no newborn session is complete without a sibling adjusting to their new role. Big brother Max was still navigating his new normal. At first, we werenโt sure weโd get a smileโฆ or even a photo without his binky. But then came my secret weapon โ me singing Baby Shark like a total goof. And it worked like a charm. His grin lit up the room, and we captured the sweetest sibling moments.
What I love about in-home newborn photography is how relaxed and real it feels. Itโs exactly what I chose when I had my own babies. Donโt get me wrong โ those beautifully posed, styled newborn portraits are stunning, and I know some amazing photographers who specialise in that. But for me? I love documenting the realness of this season โ the baby yawns, the crying, the shushing, the spit-up, and yes, even the wary glances from big brothers and sisters figuring it all out. Those unscripted moments are what youโll treasure years from now.
Iโm already counting down to November when Iโll get to photograph this wonderful family again. Stay tuned โ I canโt wait to share more of their story.
And PS: thank you to my clients who send the kindest love notes after their sessions. They mean more to me than you know. โค๏ธ

If youโre dreaming of a relaxed, at-home newborn session that captures your baby just as they are โ binkies, giggles, spit-up and all โ Iโd love to be there with my camera in hand. These early days go by fast, but the memories donโt have to fade.
