Moving Portrait | Mishawaka Photographer and Videographer

This one.
I love each of these little pieces of art for different reasons.

I had two sessions this weekend due to a scheduling conflict, and it’s amazing how completely different they turned out. The other one was quick-paced and full of energy (you can read about that over there). But for this one — I went in the opposite direction.

Lately, I’ve been so inspired by my mentor filmmakers — the ones who linger in a moment, letting a scene breathe, soaking in the sounds and voices that make it real. The stars aligned for this session, and I leaned into that slower, more intentional rhythm.

And I love how it turned out. ❤️

Sarah and Roe were absolute troopers — walking farther than expected and getting a little wetter than they planned. (Not naming names on who was less thrilled about that part 😉).

But this location, this light, this family… it all came together so beautifully. These are the sessions that fill my heart.

What Is a Moving Portrait?

A Moving Portrait is a blend of a portrait session and a family film — truly the best of both worlds.
You get your classic, mantle-worthy family photos perfect for holiday cards, plus a one-of-a-kind short film capturing your family’s personalities, laughter, and love exactly as it is right now.

Because these moments — the little ones in between — are the ones that matter most.

Want a Moving Portrait for your family?
Let’s plan your session and create something truly one-of-a-kind.
