First Communion | Mishawaka Family Photographer
Sometimes, being a family photographer means getting invited into important milestones, and it’s always a joy to be a part of the LDP community. This week, I had the privilege of documenting little E’s First Communion at St. Joe Catholic Church in Mishawaka.
You know how it is when a family is all dressed up—let’s make the most of it! While we were focusing on the First Communion portraits, we couldn’t help but sneak in a few shots of big brother, who had been part of the family photos last time. This session felt like the perfect way to capture that family closeness and joy. These two siblings are so sweet together, and I can already picture them in 15 years, sitting on the same steps, getting ready for one of their weddings—same smiles, same laughter, same bond.
Details I’m Loving
Siblings: The way big brother jumped in without being asked, ready to celebrate his sister’s special day.
Dance Practice: They even practiced their dance moves from last time. Just thinking about it makes me smile.
The Moment: That quiet, reflective moment when they sat on the steps at St. Joe’s, looking out at the church together—timeless.
Why I Love First Communion Portraits
Being invited to capture these kinds of family traditions is such an honor. It’s more than just pictures—it’s about giving your family the gift of time. As the years pass, these photos will tell the story of your family’s milestones, filled with emotion, laughter, and love.
I’m so grateful to be part of this family’s special moments! First Communion portraits are a family milestone I’ll never take for granted. And to all the families out there—whether it’s a First Communion session or any other important milestone—I’d be honored to capture your memories.
Schedule your session today, and let’s make memories to last forever!
