Fresh 48 Session | Mishawaka Newborn Photographer
Fresh 48s! With siblings! And grandparents! Guys, this has felt a long time coming. I was so excited to be back at Mishawakaβs St. Joe Hospital taking photos of a brand-spanking-new baby last weekend. Being there for big brotherβs first peak under the curtain at his new baby sister was the best.
My favorite little detail about this session: big sister kept touching momβs hospital band and then babyβs. I heard dad say, βthey both have one, thatβs right.β When you are looking through the camera, sometimes you are focused on something else, so I didnβt realize til I got home that I had photos of her looking at both bands. I love her tiny pincer grasp on that teeny tiny baby band. I love her noticing those little hospital details.
Aside from being able to witness siblings meeting one another for the first time, there is so much I love about a Fresh 48 session.
I love the white onesies, hospital socks, blankets and hats. Thereβs just something that all of us can relate to about that outfit. I takes you right back to those first few moments.
I love the freshly cut umbilical cord. Itβs there for such a fleeting moment. Time moves so quickly.
I love momβs look of pleased exhaustion. A tired joy that is like none other.
I still canβt believe that this βlittleβ part time job of mine is so significant. Iβm meeting brand new babies before grandmas. Iβm learning of pregnancies before best friends. Thatβs huge, and Iβm honored. I never want to take for granted the importance of what this j-o-b means to you. I know, because it means the same thing to me.
I wanted my brand new baby and the first time his siblings got to meet him captured in a Fresh 48 session, too. I got maternity photos. I save up money for family pictures just like you. I know how priceless this is, and I do my very best to give you something you will treasure forever.
Thank you for your trust.
Congratulations, friends. Enjoy your baby!
