Life with littles? Oh, it’s a rollercoaster—equal parts magic and mayhem. This beautiful young family is living proof, navigating the joys and (let’s be real) utter chaos of raising three children under three. And—hold onto your coffee—mama is expecting another!
When Krystal reached out for this session, she made one thing very clear: she wanted to remember this season, even though she’s currently running on fumes. Between the sleepless nights, the whirlwind days, and the constant noise, it’s easy to wish time away. But she knows all too well—these moments are fleeting. So we took a deep breath, wandered down to the creek, and documented the beauty in the madness.
The Magic of This Location
There’s something about being by the water that slows everything down. The gentle trickle of the creek, the dappled sunlight through the trees—it all created the perfect setting for this intimate, nostalgic session. The kids splashed, explored, and clung to their parents. Their giggles echoed through the trees, mixing with the occasional shriek (because let’s be honest, toddlers will always find something mildly dangerous to attempt).
For this shoot, I wanted to capture not just the smiles but the feeling of being in the thick of it—messy, unpredictable, and absolutely beautiful.
All I want is to just have some simple moments to remember because as much as we are ‘wishing this time away’, I get so emotional knowing those moments are passing by.
Why This Film Feels Different
In this family film, I intentionally slowed things down—longer clips, softer moments, intentional motion blur to mimic the dreamy haze of sleepless nights. The music I chose had a heartbeat-like rhythm, symbolizing time slipping away.
One of my favorite moments? The wide-eyed wonder of a toddler watching the birds, followed by the tiniest, sleepiest squeak from their newborn sibling. It’s the kind of magic that disappears in real-time but lives forever in film.
Parenthood isn’t just a highlight reel of first steps and birthdays. It’s in the messy middle—the chaotic mornings, the unexpected hugs, the love that grows stronger even through exhaustion. This creekside session is a love letter to that in-between.
