For years, I’ve had a dream tucked away in the back of my mind—one that felt equal parts exciting and meaningful. The idea was simple, but powerful:
What if I could film a baby in the first few weeks of life, again around six months, and once more near their first birthday…
and then create one beautiful “year-in-the-life” film at the end?
Photographers have been offering Grow-With-Me sessions forever, but the thought of doing this through video—with movement, sound, giggles, cries, tiny breaths—felt like magic waiting to happen.
This year, I finally made it happen.
I put out a model call after filming so much of my own boys through their early years, and Danielle reached out almost immediately. As soon as I read her message, I knew: she was the one I wanted to work with.
A Family Meant for This Story
Danielle and her husband love traveling, exploring new places, and staying connected with family and friends. After navigating a long, emotional road to parenthood, they were finally able to share the announcement they had waited years to say out loud:
They were pregnant—with twins.
As a mom who walked through unexplained infertility myself, her story felt deeply familiar. Her joy, her gratitude, and her quiet strength mirrored so much of what I remember feeling. I felt that tug on my heart—the one that says, “This family needs this.”
Welcoming Donnie & Leroy
These sweet boys arrived about a month early after doctors discovered that Donnie was growing well, while little Leroy was struggling and needed extra care. Donnie was able to come home first, while Leroy stayed in the hospital to keep growing strong.
Just three days after Leroy finally came home, I arrived for their newborn session—two tiny boys curled close to their parents, finally together under one roof.
It was an honor to document the beginning of their story.

The twins curled in their parents’ arms, not even as big as the board book their daddy was reading to them. Absolute perfection.
