Grandparent Family Film at Harvest Time | Plymouth, IN
There’s something incredibly special about my every-year families — the ones who have fully embraced my Family Film vision. They’re the heartbeat of this little business of mine, and I’m endlessly grateful for them. ❤️
This year’s session was extra meaningful. Grandma and Papa wanted to document harvest season, a time that holds deep significance for any farming family. After months of hard work, the fields are full, the air feels heavy with gratitude, and it’s the perfect moment to pause and remember.
And if you’ve ever wondered what grandparents fully dedicated to memory-making look like — here’s your answer. These two don’t just love their family, they create with them. Every session is packed with baking, crafting, cooking, and creating. I always leave in awe (and maybe a little nervous!) about how to fit so much love and activity into one film. That was my goal this time: to show not just what they do, but the heart behind it all.
Papa has been a little quieter during past sessions, so when I saw him laughing, teaching, and helping the grandkids — especially during that unforgettable paw paw tasting — I made sure to capture every second. Because honestly, who wouldn’t want to have more moments like that of their grandparents on film? I only have a few short clips of mine, and I treasure them deeply. To think these grandkids will have this forever… that’s the magic of family films.
So grab a cozy blanket and sit back to watch this family’s Saturday evening at Grandma and Papa’s farm. Maybe it’ll take you back to your own childhood visits — for me, it’s always the kitchen. Watching my grandma at work in hers felt like watching art.
And that paw paw scene? Peak grandpa energy: “How do you know? You’ve never tried one!” 😂 Love that so much.
