A Moving Portrait Session | The Grabers

From the second I read Elyse’s questionnaire responses, I knew I was about to document something really special. She’s one of those moms who truly knows her children — their quirks, strengths, sensitivities, and what makes each one shine. I have a friend like that too, and every time I see that kind of awareness, I’m in awe. It’s a gift to know your kids that deeply — to meet them where they are and love them in ways that make them feel seen.

A joyful family of seven stands barefoot on a sandy riverbank, smiling together during their Moving Portrait session with Lindsey DeCicco Photography.

As I was revisiting her words while editing, I couldn’t help but think this session needed to feel like a love letter — from Elyse to her five sons and daughters. With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it felt even more fitting. This film became a tribute not just to their season of life, but to the quiet, steady beauty of motherhood itself.

I love that her children will always have this — their mom’s voice affirming who they are, what makes them special, and how deeply loved they’ve always been. What a gift to carry through life — a film that captures her love in motion.

Moving Portrait Sessions are exactly that: a blend of lifestyle portraits and storytelling family films. You get the best of both worlds — those classic, frame-worthy portraits for your wall and the movement, laughter, and connection that bring your family’s story to life.

Enjoy this heartfelt Moving Portrait session with the Grabers. It’s tender, honest, and everything I hope families will cherish for years to come.

Your family’s story deserves to be remembered — not just in still frames, but in motion, in sound, in feeling. Let’s capture this season of life exactly as it is, before it changes.
