That’s right — I said hospital session! 🩵
For nine months, Amber hoped and prayed that COVID restrictions would ease up just enough for a photographer to be allowed into the hospital to document those first precious hours of life.
And finally, at her very last appointment, she got the news: the hospital guidelines had changed. She could have two visitors total.
One was her husband.
The other one… was me. 😭😭😭😭
What an incredible honor — and an even greater responsibility. To be invited into that sacred space during the very first moments of new life… I was so humbled. Truly.
It was everything I’ve missed about Fresh 48 hospital sessions — being on call, waiting for updates, and then getting that “She’s here!” message. Walking into the room as one of the first people to meet sweet Baby Quinn was pure magic.
The soft light, the tiny hospital hat, the newness of it all — these are the moments that take my breath away every single time.

Amber and her husband were absolute naturals — full of warmth and calm, soaking in every detail of their new baby girl. These early hospital moments are so fleeting, but they hold a beauty that’s impossible to recreate later.

What’s Next for Baby Quinn
This isn’t goodbye for us — it’s just the beginning of Quinn’s story! We already have her two-week at-home newborn session scheduled, plus another session in six months so we can watch her grow.
I can’t wait to share those with you when the time comes. For now, I’m just feeling incredibly lucky to have been chosen to document these first beautiful hours for such a wonderful family. 💛
