Fresh 48 Session | Mishawaka Newborn Photographer
Fresh 48sβwith siblings and grandparents! Guys, this session felt like a long time coming. I was beyond excited to be back at St. Joe Hospital in Mishawaka last weekend, documenting the arrival of a brand-new baby. Watching big brother peek behind the curtain for the very first time to meet his baby sister? Absolute magic.
One of my favorite little details from this session happened quietly, almost unnoticed in the moment. Big sister kept touching Momβs hospital band, then reaching over to touch the babyβs. I heard Dad gently say, βThey both have one, thatβs right.β When I got home and looked through the images, I realized I had captured that exact momentβher tiny pincer grasp holding that impossibly small baby band. I love that she noticed those details. I love that curiosity. Those are the moments that matter.
Thereβs so much I adore about Fresh 48 sessions.
I love the white onesies, hospital socks, soft blankets, and knit hats. Thereβs something universally familiar about that lookβit instantly transports you back to those very first hours of life.
I love the freshly cut umbilical cord, present for only a fleeting moment before time rushes forward.
I love Momβs expression of pleased exhaustionβthat tired joy that exists nowhere else.
And I still canβt quite believe how significant this βlittleβ part-time job of mine truly is. I meet brand-new babies before grandparents do. I learn about pregnancies before best friends. That kind of trust is enormous, and I never take it lightly. This work mattersβbecause it matters to you, and it matters to me.
I wanted a Fresh 48 session when my own baby was born, too. I booked maternity photos. I save for family pictures just like you do. I know how priceless these moments are, and I do everything I can to give you something youβll treasure forever.
Thank you for trusting me with your story.
Congratulations, friendsβand enjoy every second with your sweet new baby. π
