Video: The Best Way to Record Memory

Clients that hire me for videography know the value that it brings. What I aim to do with each photo and video session I’m hired for is profound: add to your family’s record. I hope that you will thumb through and pour over your photos over and over again for years to come. I don’t stop there, though. Adding a recording of your family in video format takes a good thing and makes it great.

How much would you give to have a video that was like a time capsule of a day in your life? You’d be able to see your parents, so young! so energetic! doting on you. Hearing their voices, their laughter, seeing how much joy you brought to their life? A video of a forgotten corner of your childhood home would open the door on a memory long since shut. That place you grew up would come back alive in your mind. I can picture your children watching this video 25 years from now, comparing how much their own daughter looks like her grandma. This video will be passed down, just like the photos, as part of your family’s permanent record. That knowledge brings me tremendous honor and humility.

This mom wanted the time capsule she was hiring me for to convey an important message. She found a quote that became our purpose for the session:

As a grownup, I've learned that all the 'Christmas magic' I felt as a kid was really a mom who loved me so darn much.

This day in the life film will remind her children just how much she loved them. A slow morning at home, making Christmas ornaments, playing and doing a puzzle has moment after moment of precious, tender, connection. I hope you love watching it as much as I loved making it.
