When Allie and Ian reached out for family photos at Notre Dame University, I couldn’t have been more excited. From their engagement session years ago to their growing family, capturing these special moments in their favorite place was absolutely perfect!

This extended family session in Union Pier, Michigan, was full of laughter, love, and timeless memories. Nana and Papa gathered their children and grandchildren for a week at the beach, making it the perfect time to capture their right now. From the dreamy morning light to the joy of being together after years apart, this photo session was everything extended family photos should be—real, beautiful, and unforgettable.

Aside from being able to witness siblings meeting one another for the first time, there is so much I love about a Fresh 48 session.

I love the white onesies, hospital socks, blankets and hats. There’s just something that all of us can relate to about that outfit. I takes you right back to those first few moments.

I love the freshly cut umbilical cord. It’s there for such a fleeting moment. Time moves so quickly.

I love mom’s look of pleased exhaustion. A tired joy that is like none other.
