Top 10 Moments Captured with a Photograph in 2021, Mishawaka Family Photographer | Part 2

I had so much fun putting the Top 10 Moments Captured on Video Posts 1 and 2, that I decided to the same for my favorite photography moments captured last year. Part 1 is over here, if you missed it. I really had an awesome year, which is directly because of you guys, the best clients ever. These last two years have been tough for so many people. I wasn’t sure if you’d all want photos taken or not. You guys kept me just as busy as always, so thank you, thank you, thank you!

You’ll see here in these photos, that while I specialize in “Family Photography”, that’s really quite a broad statement. If you don’t like finding a new photographer for each stage of your family’s growth, you’re in the right place. I start with your family when those kiddos are born. You don’t need to find a “Newborn Photographer”. When you’re ready to capture their toddler antics, here I am! Since my family sessions all have individual photos included, I can even squeeze a few senior portraits into your family session. You won’t be needing to find multiple photographers, and you’ll have a consistent service, product and gallery every time. Yay!

From my very last session of the year, this photo comes in at #5. I just love it. It would be one of those great “caption me” photos. Little Miss is clearly the boss around here, telling her doggy just what she thinks! I love it. This documentary photography session was full of some of my favorite photos of the year.

Sometimes I take photo that already feels like a memory. I love when that magic happens. It’s exactly how I feel about this photo. I love the edit, I love the crop, I love how you can’t see mom’s face, but you can just imagine the look on her face as she gazes at her newborn baby. In-home documentary photography sessions are some of my favorites, especially for newborns. They offer such flexibility and opportunity to get so many more images that present both your connection and your reality. The rest from this northern Indiana session are here.

Dad. That's why I love this photo so much. Him laughing onto his preschool daughter’s shoulder is THE BEST. But then when you move your eye around the frame, there is just so much more goodness to look at. I love how the little girl is looking right at the camera, like she’s in on the joke. I love Mom doubled over in laughter, yet still connected to what’s so funny across the table. I love how she has to move her head all the way over to see, because her lap is full of chunky toddler. I love older sister’s cute smile. I love how the dog is present, but isn’t bothered at all by what’s going on. Off in his own little world. And I really LOVE this mom’s house decorating style. The rest of the house was stunning, let me tell ya. You can see her Indianapolis family film and documentary photo session on the blog.

I got this flip twice, once on a film clip and once as a still. I love them both! I love how mom is entertained by it all, coffee in hand. I love how Mr. Preschool is just having this own little fun on the couch. Honestly I could pick at least 3 of their photos from this session to be in my top 3, not kidding! I think this session was some of my best photography work this year. These people are just so easy to photograph. Lots of activity, lots of love, lots of the good stuff. You’ll see what I mean when you click over to their blog post.

I know I already featured this family in Part 1, but this I just one of the most beautiful photos ever! If you’re not smiling, you’re a robot. Family film and photos here.

This was one of the most challenging blog posts I have ever written because I seriously have 140 pictures in my “Favorite Client Pictures from 2021” folder on my hard drive. You guys are just all so beautiful and it’s hard to chose!! Til next time, y’all.
