University of Notre Dame Marriage Proposal Photos

Honestly, I am always a little surprised that the Notre Dame clients I work with come back around every once in a while. Every time someone books a Notre Dame session, whether it is a graduate session or a family session celebrating a Masters or Doctorate, I anticipate those clients moving away. With that, of course, I never expect to see them again!

It’s for that reason that I become so pleasantly surprised when someone calls me up for another session. I think since I have always lived here, I forget that the campus has a magnetic draw for all of its alumni! The Notre Dame family keeps coming back and I am always thrilled to be on their rolodex for their photo and video needs.

Sometimes a family will return for a photo session at their favorite place. Sometimes, alumni calls me for baptism photos. This time, a graduate that worked with me for ND Group Grad Photos called me with a very special request: a surprise proposal! (Squeal!)

During the craziness of the Ohio State/Notre Dame football weekend, I got to hide out away from the crowds with my camera while the sweetest proposal happened. It brought me such joy to be a fly on the wall during such an important moment in this couple’s journey. He chose an area special to them with a great view. On the back side of the lake, near the Moreau Monastery, they arrived on campus, spent some time reminicising in view of the Golden Dome and Basilica and then he dropped to one knee. All the texts, Face Time calls and secret planning paid off, because she said YES! Aren’t they the cutest?
